18th International Arts Festival “STARS OF THE WHITE NIGHTS”

Location: Mariinsky Theater

As one of the year’s most attended musical events, the festival has become a pilgrimage for all lovers of Russian culture. Distinguished conductors and instrumentalists are invited to participate. The festival will present operas, ballets, and symphonic programs.

15th International Festival “MUSICAL OLYMPUS”

Locations: Shostakovich Academic Philharmonic, Academic Cappella, Hermitage Theater, Mariinsky Theater Concert Hall

The festival is an annual parade of the winners from the major international music competitions. It provides music-lovers with the priceless opportunity to hear the world’s best young musicians and to get acquainted with a wide range of schools and tendencies of contemporary performing art. About 25 young musicians of different pecialties from 15 countries will perform, accompanied by well-known orchestras.

4th St. Petersburg International Choir Festival

Locations: Shostakovich Academic Philharmonic, Academic Cappella, Alexandrinsky Theater, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Russian Museum, Mikhailovsky Garden

The culmination of the festival will be a grandiose open-air concert on “The Day of Russia”.

18th International Music Festival “ST. PETERSBURG PALACES”

Locations: Shostakovich Academic Philharmonic, Russian Museum, Hermitage Theater, Menshikov Palace, Grand Ekaterina Palace, Grand Peterhof Palace, Rumyantsev Mension, Gatchina Palace, Konstantine Palace

One of the most beautiful festivals of the Northern capital. In the parade halls of St. Petersburg’s palaces, the best works of classical music of different epochs will be performed by outstanding Russian and international performers.

3rd International Contest-Festival “THE IMPERIAL GARDENS OF RUSSIA”

Location: Mikhailovsky Garden

The aim of this festival is the revival of traditions connected with the history of St. Petersburg’s gardens, combined with modern tendencies in landscaping.

10th International Festival “MUSIC OF THE GREAT HERMITAGE”

Locations: Great Courtyard of the Hermitage, Academic Cappella

August 25–September 5
1st Worldwide Festival of Puppeteer Schools

Locations: St. Petersburg Theaters

Theater schools from 20 countries will participate in the festival. The event is framed around an extensive educational program: forums, master classes, a UNIMA Commission conference on education, a special hands-on project for children, “Petrushkas (Punches) of the World at Tsarskoe Selo” - an interactive street carnival for children and adults, and a festival of street performances.

10th Festival “INTERNATIONAL CONSERVATORY WEEK”

Location: Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (Glazunov Concert Hall)

An international forum unequaled in the music world. The festival introduces audiences to the traditions and modern achievements of the highest caliber music schools in Russia, Europe, Asia, and the USA. The festival offers concerts of young, talented musicians, playing a wide variety of music from baroque to jazz, musical premiers, open lectures and master classes by well-known professors from Russia and abroad.
